Born 11, February, 1942, Tbilisi, Georgia. General Director of “Zhordania and Khomassuridze Institute of Reproductology”; Full Professor and Chairman of the Department of Reproductology, Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Ivane Javakhisvili Tbilisi State University since 1997; Member of the International Academy on Human Reproduction since 1997 and the member of the executive board of the International Academy on Human Reproduction since March 2023; Founder and the President of Georgian Association of Reproductive Health since 2002.
1965-1985 worked in Moscow, Russia, at the Institute of Endocrinology and, later, at the Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, where he defended Candidate and Doctoral Dissertations in Endocrinology and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. 1985-2012 he was General Director of Zhordania Institute of Human Reproduction, WHO Collaborating Center in Georgia.
