Richard Kennedy, UK

Richard Kennedy is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based in the UK and is an Associate Professor at the University of Warwick Medical School. He has recently retired from being Medical Director of the Birmingham Maternity System, UK where he led the implementation of important developments in maternity care. He has held senior medical leadership roles in the UK and Australia leading patient safety, service improvement, and reconfiguration initiatives. He was for many years Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and specialist in Reproductive Medicine in the UK where he set up the IVF programme, was a member of the first NICE infertility clinical guidelines committee, and was one of the early inspectors for the Human Fertilisation and Embryology. He is past president of the British Fertility Society, immediate Past President of the International Federation of Fertility and Societies (IFFS), IFFS Associate Director of Education with responsibility for online education and is co-chair of the WHO Infertility Guideline Development Group.
